Topic and Standards for Technology Lesson Plan
I. Topic: Biography on an author
In groups of 3, the fourth grade student will research about the author they are assigned with using the Internet or World Wide Web. The student will write 1-2 pages of an informative biography about the author including the author’s list of works, life (what s/he liked to do, what school s/he attended, how did s/he become an author, and etc.), date of birth, date of death if s/he is no longer alive, with the citations of the technological resources they found on the Internet or World Wide Web.
After the biography is finished, the students will share about their author with the rest of the class. The group of students will take turns to share information about the author using a loud and clear voice and make an eye contact with the audience in 5 minutes.

Blog Post #4
I found awebsite called Hotchalk's LessonPlansPage.com and I thought this site would be helpful for all the educators who are in K-12 school setting. This site has different subject matter lesson plans that are availabe for K to 12 teachers. It has a teacher discussion forum where they could talk about their strategies, particular teaching methods, what happened in the classroom, and/or many other things that could be helpful for other teachers. Through Hotchalk, teachers can digitally access different standardized curriculums and other supplements that are needed to teach their classroom. This website isn't limited to teachers, but also available to parents, students, and administrators. In addition, this website has links to different educational websites where teachers could get an idea of their lessons planning. I checked out some of the lesson plans, and there was something that I could do with the first graders at my placement. =)

Blog post #1: comments on blogs
I think the purpose of blog comments is to keep in touch with friends or to make friends, and to share information. I saw lots of personal comments that people make on other people's blogs. I think they visit their friends' blogs to keep up with the updates and to be able to be part of their friends' lives. Some other comments are just to share their thoughts and opinions about what they saw or read on other people's blogs. Also, some people were sharing their ideas and information about different things by commenting on each other's blogs.

Blog Post #1: Resourceful Blog
I found a blog, created by an Elementary School teacher Kelly Mikesell, that has different ideas of lessons and activities I can do in my future elementary classroom setting. Her blog has different resources where teachers can get ideas from and use. For example, she posted some of the activities for different content areas like writing, reading, math, science, and etc. that I think can easily be implemented in any classroom. She also posted short video clips of her classroom arrangement, centers, and activities she did with her students.
I think Mikesell's blog can be helpful in my future teaching career since I can borrow the activities she does with her students to make learning more enjoyable and fun instead of boring. For example, I really liked her idea of using Math Tub that allowed students to play and learn instead of making them do paper work. Not only that, but she has other teachers' website links that I can visit to get more ideas for different lessons and activities.

About Me
HI!!! I'm Lori and I'm really new to blog...
I live in Honolulu, Hawaii and trying to learn about technology in the ETEC class I'm taking this semester as one of the required courses at UH for Elementary Education. My life seems like it's getting busier day by day, but I'm hanging in there.
I like to sleep as much as I can because I just LOVE sleeping! However, I'm trying to get myself to the gym to get some fitness and to be healthier. I'd love to go snorkeling but I just haven't had a chance to do it yet with the cold weather...
I don't really have a favorite website since I am not usually on the computer except when I have to do my homework. However, I find it fun to visit some of my friends' websites to see what's going on with their lives since I don't really get to talk to them that much with how busy things are going with me.
This is it! =)
